My friend's dog ate a pot brownie yesterday

My buddy’s dog ate a potent weed cookie we cooked up, we didn’t even notice until later in the day the dog became extremely lethargic, we were wondering what was wrong and we were checking him out, and smelt his breath and we could smell it, we go into our living room and see the plastic bag it was being held in chewed up on the floor, we rush him to the vet, the vet tells us he will be fine in about 24 hours, didn’t charge us for anything because the vet found it kind of funny, the next 24 hours we watched the dog forget how to use it’s back legs, watched it stare at the wall for 10+ minutes at a time, his bark changed from a bark to a Bork, and I swear to god he laughed at one point, anyway 24 hours later the dog was perfectly fine and is still living a happy little pupper life !
I_never_say_LOL added this which is important!
*My wife is a vet, please do not read this and think it's always ok to let the dog sleep it off cause you read one time in the internet some one took their dog to the vet and they said to just go home.
There are times when it will be ok and times when it will not be ok. Go to the vet and make sure. Marijuana toxicity is a real thing in dogs and not worth losing your best friend over*

Willian, Morata, Courtois Out Of Newcastle United Clash; Conte Expects “Difficult” Game

Chelsea will be without Willian, Alvaro Morata and Thibaut Courtois for Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup clash against Newcastle United, their manager Antonio Conte has revealed.
The Blues who crashed out of the Carabao Cup last Wednesday after losing 2-1 on aggregate to Arsenal could welcome Cesc Fabregas back to the squad as they look to return to winning ways at Stamford Bridge.
“Morata, Courtois are out,” Conte began when he was asked about his team readiness for the game Newcastle United during his pre-match conference on Friday.
“I don’t know, it is very difficult to tell you today how many days they need to come back. Morata has a problem in his back and Courtois took a kick in his ankle.
“Fabregas trained today and tomorrow I will check his physical condition and form.
“It’s only a small injury but Willian is out of the Newcastle game as well.
“Willian is out. Today with the doctor, he will have a scan to evaluate his injury but I don’t think we’re talking about a serious injury.”
Conte reaffirmed that he is happy at the club and with his squad despite claiming transfer business is out of his hands.

“I think it is right to have this type of situation,” the former Juventus manager added.
“I am repeating the same things, I am the coach and my task is to do the best for the club and try to improve these players.
“This is something I don’t want to discuss with you. Nothing has changed (on his future).There was the summer, then after the summer and nothing has changed. I am happy to work with my players and for this club.”
The Italian manager also stated that Emirates FA Cup remains an important trophy for Chelsea to win this season after crashing out of the Carabao Cup to Arsenal.
He said: “Every competition is important, we lost against Arsenal and now there is another competition.
“As you know this competition is very difficult. There is also an opponent and the opponent has the same ambition.”
On the future of Charly Musonda and if Ross Barkley will make his first start against Newcastle United, Conte said: “As I said before, to buy or sell the club decide. He (Musonda) can be selected on Sunday.
“As you know, after a bad injury you need a bit of time to be fit 100%.
“If you want to accelerate this process, he (Barkley) has to play, not only have the training session.
“The players are happy because they want to play and play every game. In this type of situation the coach loves to play and not have the training session.”

Musa: Super Eagles Can Reach World Cup Semi-Finals, Why Not?

Super Eagles forward Ahmed Musa is backing the team to go further than they have ever gone at the World Cup by reaching the quarter-finals or the semi-finals of Russia 2018.
The Nigerian team have reached the round of 16 three times out of the five times they have qualified for the tournament, failing to progress beyond the group stages twice.

Sadiq Set To Join Dutch Club NAC Breda On Loan From Roma

Nigerian striker Sadiq Umar is close to completing a loan move to Dutch club NAC Breda from Italian club AS Roma, reports Completesportsnigeria (CSN). Sadiq, who was part of Nigeria’s U-23 team that won bronze at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, spent the first half of the season with Italian outfit Torino.
Following the cancellation of his loan deal with Torino, the forward is now on the verge of joining NAC Breda for the second half of the season.
The 20-year-old featured in only three Serie A games for Torino.
According to a report in Dutch online news outlet drimble.nl, NAC Breda and Torino have reached agreement on Sadiq’s transfer with the forward expected to start training with his new teammates once all the necessary paperwoks are sorted out.

ASUU raises alarm over recruitment of NCE holders, corps members to replace sacked lecturers in Kogi

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU has accused the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, of recruiting holders of National Certificate in Education (NCE), members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and even undergraduates to replace about 150 lecturers dismissed from the Kogi State University.
The Union stated this in a news briefing by Prof Ike Odimegwu, the Owerri Zonal Coordinator of ASUU, in Awka, Anambra State on Friday.

Odimegwu said the governor’s action was capable of destroying the Nigerian University Education and ridiculing her certificates in the global community.
“This arrogant display of power and abuse of office by Mr. Yahaya Bello speaks volume about the extent to which some political office holders could go to crush perceived opposition in their bid to emasculate and enslave Nigerians so as to fulfil their ambition towards destroying the public education system.
“After the sack of the over 150 seasoned lecturers, Mr. Yahaya Bello resorted to the recruitment of unqualified individuals such as laboratory attendants, members of the National Youth Service Corps, NCE holders and even undergraduate students to replace them.
“These actions of Mr. Yahaya Bello amount to gross violation of International Labour Law, the Constitution of Nigeria and all known best practices in the university system.”

Bello had in July 2017 announced the proscription of all ASUU activities in the University and followed it with the sacking of over 150 academic staff of the University who were on a lawful struggle to press for the payment of the backlog of their salaries.
Odimegwu said, “These lawless actions are clear manifestations of arrogance and a very high level of ignorance on the side of Mr. Yahaya Bello vis-a-vis the limits of his power as the State Governor and failure of appreciation of the essence of a University.”
The Union also accused the Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University, Prof. Lanre Adigun Fagbohun of victimizing ASUU members in the university for no just cause, calling on the Lagos State Governor, Akiwumi Ambode, to intervene and save the university from impunity and dictatorship.
He said ASUU members have been given shabby treatments in the course of its struggles for just and equitable society. He said they have been subjected several times to various forms of victimization and that the group would no longer tolerate such treatment.

Buhari says FG will spend extra income from rising oil prices on infrastructure

President Muhammadu Buhari has pledged that income accruing to the country from rising oil prices in the international market will be spent on infrastructural development, Premium Times reports.
Receiving a delegation from Eni, led by the Chief Upstream Officer, Mr. Antonio Vella, the President said extra funds outside the provision of year 2018 budget “will be deployed to infrastructure projects like roads, rail, and power, for the good of our people, and for the development of the country.”
Budget 2018 provisions had been predicated on $45 per barrel by the Executive, and the Senate had adjusted it to $47 per barrel. Oil prices have, however, risen to $70 per barrel, recently. Buhari also appreciated Eni for its upcoming investments in the oil industry, which included rehabilitation of Port Harcourt refinery, and the building of a new one.

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has said there is no need setting up cattle colonies in the South East geopolitical zone.

Gidado said the establishment of cattle colonies in the area was not necessary because of the harmonious relationship existing between members of the association and the residents.
He, however, underscored the need to strengthen the mutual understanding and synergy between MACBAN and the people in the zone.
“Cattle breeding in Anambra is different from what obtains in other states; here in Anambra; we are working in synergy with the security operatives, the indigenes and the state government through the Cattle Menace Control Committee.
“To me, anti-open grazing bill, cattle colonies and ranches are just political creations; these concepts are created by politicians to bring disharmony between farmers and herdsmen.
“In the South-East, the proposed cattle colonies cannot work; you cannot just take somebody’s land and give to another person to conduct his own business; it is not right.
“Here in the zone, it is virtually impossible to operate cattle colonies, as there is harmonious relationship existing between the herdsmen and the farmers.
“The cattle colonies they are talking about are already existing in the North.”

Ambode’s Former Commissioner, Deji Tinubu Slumps, Dies

Deji Tinubu, the immediate past Chairman of Lagos State Sports Commission, is dead.

 THISDAY reports that Tinubu who was also a former board member of the Nigeria Football 

Federation (NFF) slumped and died while playing football at the retreat organised for Lagos 

Commissioners and Special Advisers with Governor Akinwunmi Ambode present at the event in Epe.

 Sadly, Tinubu was certified healthy during the screening carried out before the start of the 

novelty game aimed at ensuring none of the government officials had such misfortune.
